Although the archival value of the record types examined in the project is better understood, there is still a need to determine the conditions necessary for the long-term preservation of audiovisual materials. To this end, a three-tiered architecture comprising presentation, processing, and storage must first be developed.

Archival appraisal criteria should be prepared separately for photographs, audio recordings, and videos. Format selection should be based on archival value. In doing so, audiovisual materials should be linked to institutional activities and functions.

Personal data contained in audiovisual materials should be evaluated in the context of public profiles, not under the GDPR.
